The team’s extensive track record as a lender, as well as an owner, developer and operator of multifamily real estate, enables Parse to structure and execute on creative capital solutions that meet the distinct needs of its partners.

William V. Trefethen

Managing Partner

Mr. Trefethen is the Managing Partner of Parse Capital. Mr. Trefethen is responsible for the overall management of Parse. He has more than 25 years of experience in corporate and real estate finance, mergers and acquisitions and restructuring. He founded American Commercial Capital, LLC, a national commercial lending platform which was sold to Wells Fargo in 2001. After his tenure with Wells Fargo, he founded Trefethen Advisors, a private investment and advisory firm which provided investment banking and investment management services to a variety of private and public clients, including managing a leveraged credit joint venture with Fortress Investment Management. Prior to founding ACC, he was a Managing Director with Koll Investment Management and a Director at PriceWaterhouseCoopers. William earned a B.S. degree in Accountancy from Arizona State University.

D. Charles Laing IV

Managing Director

Mr. Laing is a Managing Director at Parse Capital. Mr. Laing is responsible for underwriting and asset management of Parse investments. He has more than 20 years of principal investment experience. Prior to joining the firm, he was a Director at Trefethen Advisors, a private investment and advisory firm where he was responsible for sourcing, underwriting and managing credit investments. Previously, Mr. Laing was a Principal at Stairway Capital, and Eos Partners; and an Associate at Rosecliff, and Weiss, Peck & Greer. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Hampden-Sydney College, and received a Master of Business Administration in Finance from Columbia Business School, where he currently serves as a volunteer in its Ambassador Program for MBA applicants.

Nicholas Killebrew

Senior Vice President

Mr. Killebrew is a Vice President at Parse Capital. Mr. Killebrew is responsible for sourcing and structuring Parse investments. He has over 10 years of advisory and principal investment experience. Prior to joining the firm, he was a Managing Director at Trefethen Advisors where is was responsible for sourcing and executing advisory transactions related to mergers and acquisitions, corporate and real estate finance. Previously Mr. Killebrew was a Director at Kuhns Brothers Securities Corporation; and a Director a Cohen and Company; and a Vice President at Capstone Investments. Mr. Killebrew received his B.S. from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a double major in Spanish and Business.

Adam Mabry

Vice President

Mr. Mabry is a Vice President at Parse Capital where he focuses on the underwriting and due diligence of new investment opportunities across the Parse platform. Prior to joining Parse, Mr. Mabry was a Vice President in Barclays Real Estate Investment Banking group in Los Angeles and New York, providing capital markets and M&A advisory services to both public and private real estate companies. Mr. Mabry received a B.S. in Economics from Arizona State University and an MBA from Brigham Young University.

Matt Borgeson

Associate

Mr. Borgeson is an Associate at Parse Capital. Mr. Borgeson is responsible for investment structuring and asset management for Parse. Prior to joining the firm, Matt worked for PwC in the manufactured products audit group. Matt attended the University of Arizona in Tucson, AZ where he received a Bachelors degree, and Masters degree, in Accountancy.

Zack Rall

Analyst

Mr. Rall is an Analyst at Parse Capital. Mr. Rall is responsible for underwriting, investment structuring, and asset management for Parse. Prior to joining the firm, Zack worked for The Wolff Company where he was responsible for the valuation of transactions related to mergers and acquisitions, corporate and real estate finance. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Arizona.
