Charles Laing is a Managing Director of Parse. He also sits on the firm’s Investment Committee.
Prior to forming Parse in 2013, Mr. Laing was a Director at Trefethen Capital Partners, a private investment firm, where he was responsible for sourcing, underwriting and managing credit investments. Previously, he was a Principal at Stairway Capital and Eos Partners, and an Associate at Rosecliff and Weiss, Peck & Greer.
Mr. Laing graduated from Hampden-Sydney College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics, and received an M.B.A from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Business.
Nick Killebrew is Head of Origination.
Prior to forming Parse in 2013, Mr. Killebrew was a Managing Director at Trefethen Advisors where he was responsible for sourcing and executing advisory transactions related to mergers and acquisitions, corporate and real estate finance. Mr. Killebrew was also a Director at Kuhns Brothers Securities Corporation, a Director at Cohen and Company and a Vice President at Capstone Investments.
Mr. Killebrew graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a double major in Business and Spanish.
Shannon Bane is a VP of Execution.
Prior to joining Parse in 2017, Mr. Bane managed his independent advisory firm which provided management and transaction execution to middle market companies and real estate institutions. Recent engagements include: Trefethen Advisors, The Wolff Company, Hillwood Investment Properties (a Perot Company), and Wreath Equity, LLC (a subsidiary of Garrison Investment Group). Before starting his advisory business, Shannon was a Vice President at Lennar Corporation where he was responsible for joint venture transactions and head of acquisitions for the Inland Empire Division. Prior to Lennar, Shannon spent six years in the commercial banking industry with Wells Fargo and Bank of America.
Mr. Bane graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Science in Policy, Planning and Development. Mr. Bane went on to receive an M.B.A from Azusa Pacific University.
Brad Hoffman is a VP of Asset Management.
Prior to joining Parse in 2018, Mr. Hoffman was a VP at Resource Real Estate where he was responsible for managing property investments for Resource America, Inc., and was the Head of Asset Management for Resource Capital Corp. Previously, he was an Associate at Berkadia Commercial Mortgage, and an Analyst at Gramercy Property Trust.
Mr. Hoffman graduated from Drexel University with a Bachelor of Science in Finance, and received an M.B.A from Drexel University’s LeBow College of Business.
Ross Macdonald is an Originations Associate.
Prior to joining Parse in 2018, Mr. Macdonald was a Vice President at Wells Fargo where he was responsible for originating structured leasing and secured loans for Fortune 1000 clients. Mr. Macdonald was also an investment analyst at Prudential Capital Group and earned his CFA charter in 2017.
Mr. Macdonald graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a major in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance.
Dominic Leonard is a Senior Analyst.
Prior to joining Parse in 2018, Mr. Leonard worked as a Senior Consultant for FactSet Research Systems in San Francisco, CA. He is currently pursuing his CFA and will be taking Level II in June of 2019.
Mr. Leonard graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Science in both Finance and Business Economics. He also received a minor in Spanish Language.
Logan Migliorino is an Analyst.
Prior to joining Parse in 2017, Mr. Migliorino completed an internship for The Wolff Company, where he assisted the Parse Team in underwriting. Additionally, Mr. Migliorino worked as a Systems Specialist in the data analytics department of AXIS Appraisal Management, Inc.
Mr. Migliorino graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Science in Finance.
Alex Nielsen is an Analyst.
Prior to joining Parse in 2018, Mr. Nielsen served as a Naval Officer onboard nuclear powered fast attack submarines, where he directed ship’s movements and monitored watch teams in oversight of the reactor.
Mr. Nielsen graduated from The University of Wisconsin with a Mechanical Engineering degree. Mr. Nielsen went on to earn his M.B.A and Master of Science in Finance degrees from The University of Arizona.
Bill Trefethen is a Member of the firm’s Investment Committee.
Mr. Trefethen has more than 25 years of capital markets and corporate finance experience. He founded American Commercial Capital, LLC (“ACC”), a national leveraged commercial lending platform which was sold to Wells Fargo in 2001. After his tenure with Wells Fargo, he provided investment banking and investment management services to a variety of private and public clients, including managing a credit joint venture with Fortress Investment Management. Prior to founding ACC, he was a Managing Director with Koll Investment Management and a Director at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Mr. Trefethen graduated from Arizona State University.
