Christopher Westcott is Senior Vice President of Origination at Parse Capital. Mr. Westcott is responsible for identifying, negotiating, and closing Joint Venture & Preferred Equity multifamily opportunities throughout the United States (outside of the Southeast). He brings over two decades of multifamily experience with exposure to property management, asset management and acquisitions, executing on more than $2B of transactions during his career. Prior to joining Parse Capital, Chris was the Senior Vice President/Principal for Black Creek Group/Ares Management where he was responsible for the development and implementation of Black Creek’s strategy and investment thesis in multifamily. Mr. Westcott attended The George Washington University and is a member of National Multifamily Housing Council (NMHC) and Urban Land Institute (ULI).
Tom Smith is an SVP and the head of execution at Parse Capital. Tom is responsible for negotiating and closing joint venture and preferred equity investments with sponsors across the Parse national platform. He joined the company in 2022 and brings over 20 years of real estate industry investment and finance experience. Before joining Parse, Tom was an SVP and originator at Alliance Bank. His prior experience also includes positions at Alliance Residential Company, a large national residential developer, MCA Financial, a Phoenix based restructuring & advisory firm and JPMorgan Chase. He holds a BS in finance from Arizona State University.
Brad Mitchell is a Vice President of Originations at Parse Capital. Mr. Mitchell is responsible for identifying, negotiating, and closing Joint Venture & Preferred Equity residential investments in the Southeastern United States. Prior to joining Parse in 2020, Brad worked on the real estate investment teams at Makena Capital Management and Partners Group. He holds a BS in Managerial Economics with Honors from The University of California at Davis, and also holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
Ryan Tully is a Senior Associate on the Originations Team at Parse Capital. He joined the company in 2014 and has held roles on the acquisitions, portfolio management and allocator teams. Prior to joining Parse Capital, Ryan was a staff accountant at Deloitte. He holds Finance and Accounting degrees from Arizona State University where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. Ryan holds a Master’s degree in Accountancy from Arizona State University, and is also an actively licensed CPA.
Dominic Leonard is a Senior Associate on the Execution Team at Parse Capital. He joined the company in 2018. Prior to joining Parse Capital, Dominic was a Senior Consultant at Factset Research Systems in San Francisco, CA. He holds a dual degree in Finance and Business Economics with a minor in Spanish Language from the University of Arizona where he graduated Cum Laude with Honors. He is currently pursuing his Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and is a Level III candidate.
Steven Cook is a Senior Associate on the Investment Team at Parse Capital. He joined the company in 2015 and holds a BBA from Gonzaga University.
Brett Balda is an Associate on the Southeast Originations team at Parse Capital. He joined the company in 2021. Prior to joining Parse Capital, Brett was an analyst at Eastdil Secured in Dallas, TX. He holds an engineering degree and a Master’s in Real Estate Finance from Texas A&M University.
Jared Friedman is an Associate on the Asset Management Team at Parse Capital. Prior to joining Parse in 2020, Mr. Friedman held internships with Goldman Sachs and Freeport-McMoRan. He holds a BS in both Accounting and Business Data Analytics from Arizona State University.
Brock Neuhaus is a Senior Analyst on the Originations Team at Parse Capital. He joined the company in September 2020 as an intern, and transitioned to full-time in June 2021. Prior to joining Parse Capital, Brock held internships with CBRE and Matthews REIS. He holds a Bachelors degree in Business Administration from University of Arizona.
Nicolas Schlichting is an Analyst on the Asset Management Team at Parse Capital. He joined the company in 2021. Prior to joining Parse Capital, Nicolas was a Solution Analyst at Deloitte. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computational Mathematical Sciences from Barrett, the Honors College at Arizona State University, and also holds a Master of Science in Finance from Arizona State University.
John Murphy is an Analyst on the Originations Team at Parse Capital. He joined the company in June 2022. Prior to joining Parse Capital, John Murphy was a Multifamily Investment Sales Intern at Berkadia and Cushman & Wakefield | PICOR. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Arizona.
